The moment a woman’s pregnancy is confirmed, s12 he should express her gratitude to Allah Ta’ala, as this is indeed a great bounty of Allah Ta’ala. She should cast aside sorrows and she should try and stay happy at all times. The expectant mother should protect herself from daily disputes with the mother-in-law and sister-in-law or other members of the family. Her relationship with her husband should be one of obedience.
She should maintain friendly and trouble free relationships with all. If she hurts someone, she should immediately apologize and forget about the dispute. She cannot afford to hold back a grudge or an ill feeling, as the evil effect of this will fall on the child she is carrying. As a true expression of gratitude to Allah Ta’ala, she should stay away from all sin, such as the sin of not covering herself with a veil, watching television, neglecting her salaah, living to show others, etc. Her entire life must become one of obedience and gratitude to Allah Ta’ala.
